Route

While all fifteen Southern Cross Rallies followed a four day format, there was a considerable variation in the nature of the route. All but 1969 started in Sydney, but only the first three headed south into Victoria. The last eleven were all essentially based around Port Macquarie. Over the years the event also moved to a fully special stage format, but long competitive stages were a feature of the event throughout its history.
